This explains how our hierarchy is constructed and how it works. How you move up and down, and what the responsibilities are of each.
AlphaFirst in command. He/ She makes decisions and dominates the whole family. He/ She is able to cope dilemma's and keep the pack in order with discipline. Strong, Fast, Silent, he/ she has earned his/ her rank through his hard worth rather than the blood to which he/ she is born.
DeltaThe second in command, the heir to the Alpha. Head of the hunting and fighting parties, keeping daily life order. Strong and worthy competition. There is a reason that you shall hold this title.
ZetaThere are four Zeta's in a pack. They are like the elite guard, strong and loyal fighters. Their ability is endurance, able to travel miles ahead of the pack scouting out danger, living off one another. One of the four will some day become Delta.
ThataThe bulk of the pack, fully grown wolves who protect the pack with their lives, hunt for the pack with their skills. Every single one of these wolves has the chance to become Alpha, they just have to move up the scale.
SigmaAge ranging from pup to young adult. These are younger, immature wolves who are training to becoem a Thata, how to survive in these harsh conditions.
OmegaThe weakest, the oldest, or ones that can't become a Thata. They are treated at the bottom of the hierarchy. Mostly of females in heat who have been shoved into the pack ties for mating purposes. Very few have this title.
So; in order to become an alpha, first you must start as a mere pup, a Sigma and work your way up to a Thata. Then inducted into the Zeta, the elite force. If you don't die while in that position, up to Delta you go. Trying to prove your worth to the current Alpha that you can replace his spot. Then to the top of the pile you go. It's a long process, but not all that impossible.
